Su proyecto comenz\u00f3 en 1966 en North Vancouver, Columbia Brit\u00e1nica (Canad\u00e1), bas\u00e1ndose en los planos de un arquitecto naval llamado Frank Carious. Este dise\u00f1o Rum Runner fue equipado en 1968 con un motor Chevy 427-L88 de alto rendimiento completamente nuevo (con especificaciones de dinam\u00f3metro de aproximadamente 550 caballos de fuerza de f\u00e1brica), aunque el manual del propietario de Aero Marine indica 475 caballos de fuerza de f\u00e1brica. Este motor es muy raro y valioso. \u00a1Es una bestia!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este barco es, sin duda, el ejemplo perfecto de lo que se conoce como un \u201challazgo de desguace\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este proyecto comenz\u00f3 en 1966 y estaba completado en un 90 % cuando se guard\u00f3 en un almac\u00e9n durante casi 20 a\u00f1os debido a circunstancias familiares imprevistas. Se sac\u00f3 del almac\u00e9n durante unos meses para realizar un ligero lijado de la carpinter\u00eda y luego volvi\u00f3 a guardarse durante casi 30 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Desafortunadamente, durante los \u00faltimos 20 a\u00f1os, el techo de la cochera dej\u00f3 pasar la lluvia y la nieve, que cayeron sobre la lona que cubr\u00eda el motor. El compartimento del motor se llen\u00f3 parcialmente de agua, y el motor, las tuber\u00edas, la direcci\u00f3n, el sistema el\u00e9ctrico y todos los dem\u00e1s sistemas del compartimento se oxidaron gravemente. El motor todav\u00eda tiene solo unas 3 horas originales de tiempo de inactividad en el garaje (lo cual fue a finales de la d\u00e9cada de 1960, en la d\u00e9cada de 1970 y a principios de la d\u00e9cada de 1980). Les promet\u00ed a los antiguos propietarios que lo restaurar\u00eda por completo y har\u00eda realidad su sue\u00f1o inconcluso, ya que tienen m\u00e1s de 80 a\u00f1os y no cuentan con la fuerza f\u00edsica necesaria para terminar el proyecto. Les promet\u00ed que terminar\u00eda el barco y los llevar\u00eda a dar un paseo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mi intenci\u00f3n es reutilizar todos y cada uno de los tornillos y tuercas que saque de este motor Chevy 427: \u00a1que quede como estaba originalmente! Por eso he estado pidiendo consejo tanto a talleres especializados como a mec\u00e1nicos aficionados. No puedo permitirme partir tornillos por la mitad ni estropear las roscas de tornillos, tuercas, abrazaderas, tapones o tuercas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les expliqu\u00e9 mi situaci\u00f3n en la tienda local de repuestos industriales, y me recomendaron encarecidamente que rociara todos los componentes oxidados con un producto llamado Deep Creep. Hab\u00edan visto fotos de lo oxidados que estaban el motor y otros sistemas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Compr\u00e9 un bote e hice una \u201cprueba\u201d en el conjunto del carburador. Roci\u00e9 todo el carburador y los pernos de montaje con Deep Creep una vez por la ma\u00f1ana y otra por la tarde. Lo hice durante dos d\u00edas, ya que quer\u00eda estar 100 % seguro de no da\u00f1ar ni atascar las roscas de ninguna tuerca o perno.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/staging-ca.seafoami.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Aero-Marine-Motor-1-web-2-768x1024-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25399\" width=\"440\" height=\"587\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/seafoami.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Aero-Marine-Motor-1-web-2-768x1024-1.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/seafoami.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Aero-Marine-Motor-1-web-2-768x1024-1-225x300.jpeg 225w, https:\/\/seafoami.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Aero-Marine-Motor-1-web-2-768x1024-1-480x640.jpeg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Debo decir que me qued\u00e9 totalmente sorprendido cuando empec\u00e9 a desmontar el carburador. Los tirantes y los tornillos principales se soltaron como si los hubieran puesto hace solo unos a\u00f1os. Las piezas a\u00fan ten\u00edan aspecto oxidado, pero se desmontaron con facilidad. Nunca cepill\u00e9 ni limpi\u00e9 el carburador de ninguna manera. Solo lo roci\u00e9 con un spray, lo dej\u00e9 reposar y luego lo desmont\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La prueba de este producto sali\u00f3 a la perfecci\u00f3n. Para ser sincero, estuve tentado de recurrir a esa otra lata azul que muchos de nosotros hemos usado en el pasado. Te lo digo por experiencia y sin que nadie me lo haya pedido: \u00a1usa SOLO Deep Creep! \u00a1Funciona!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si est\u00e1s reacondicionando o restaurando motores o componentes muy oxidados, tienes que confiar en m\u00ed y en este producto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Desde entonces he rociado todo el motor (incluidos todos los dem\u00e1s componentes, el conjunto del tim\u00f3n, la transmisi\u00f3n, el campana de embrague, el sistema de transmisi\u00f3n en V y el eje, las juntas universales, el motor de arranque, el alternador y mucho m\u00e1s). En los \u00faltimos d\u00edas he desmontado el colector de admisi\u00f3n de aluminio, las tapas cromadas de las v\u00e1lvulas, las culatas del motor y numerosas abrazaderas y racores. Me complace mucho informar que todas las piezas se han desmontado sin romperse ni da\u00f1arse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los pistones est\u00e1n oxidados y agarrotados. Lo mismo ocurre con las v\u00e1lvulas de la culata. Los he empapado por completo con Deep Creep. Tambi\u00e9n he rociado una gran cantidad de Deep Creep por toda la \u201cculata\u201d. Las v\u00e1lvulas y los resortes est\u00e1n empapados de este producto. Un consejo: \u00a1ten paciencia! Deja que el producto haga su trabajo. Tu paciencia dar\u00e1 sus frutos.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Una vez restaurado, este motor original con n\u00fameros coincidentes tendr\u00e1 un valor considerable. Conf\u00edo el valor futuro de este motor y de los sistemas que lo acompa\u00f1an a este producto. Hasta ahora, todo va bien. Recomiendo este producto a todas las personas con las que hablo sobre mi proyecto de restauraci\u00f3n de un hallazgo de granero.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Te mantendr\u00e9 al tanto de c\u00f3mo va todo, si as\u00ed lo deseas. \u00a1Mis palabras son sinceras y mis fotos son 100 % originales y sin retocar!
